I attended Christopher Newport University. I am able to tutor a variety of subjects, including Mathematics (elementary and middle school levels, as well as Pre-Algebra, Algebra, general Geometry, and Non-Euclidean Geometry), Science (Biology and Chemistry), Social Studies, and Religious Studies. I have experience working with students in 6th through 9th grades throughout the school year and over the summer as well. I believe the best tutoring method is to learn and study alongside the student, which I feel is a better approach than turning the tutoring session into yet another class for the student to attend. I am respectful and patient, and I feel I am a great problem solver. I try to tailor my methods to fit the individuals I am working with. I have worked with students who initially were content with underachieving, but after our work together, they were able to overcome their initial struggles and improve their scores. I really enjoy working with these students and their families, especially when I can support positive improvements.I spend much of my time tutoring, but when I'm away from academics I enjoy helping others in other ways. I also enjoy everything having to do with soccer, and I like watching movies.
