Private tutor in Woodbridge, VA
Columbia University - BS, Electrical Engineering , Stony Brook University - MS, Statistics
I love to tutor and help students overcome obstacles in their coursework, especially in Statistics and Mathematics. I worked as an assistant teacher in both of the aforementioned subjects while pursuing my graduate degree from Stony Brook University. I attended Columbia University for undergrad, where I earned my bachelor's degree. While studying at Columbia, I also tutored. I've also helped college students prepare for and excel on the City University of New York's Mathematics Assessment exam. My teaching practice is based on the knowledge that every student has a different approach to learning and retaining. I therefore make sure to utilize a lot of different teaching tactics in order to meet each student's individual needs. I favor good listening skills as a teacher. I also try to create welcoming learning environments to ensure student comfort. It's important to me to give quality support and serve student needs. I always put my students first. I can work with students in Algebra, Arithmetic, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, and Trigonometry. I can also help with test preparation for the SAT (especially with the Mathematics sections). I currently live in Woodbridge, Virginia. In my free time, I enjoy soccer, basketball, reading Math and Statistics magazines, and playing video games.
